The cooktop, if turned on without a compatible pot placed on it, or if it no longer detects a compatible pot, will display the error (---) and reset the power output. The cooktop will resume delivering power at the level set before shutdown if a compatible pot is detected within 10 minutes; otherwise, it will turn off.
